Xerox Phaser 6280 keeps saying low Magenta but it isn’t low.?
I have a Xerox Phaser that is having a problem with the Magenta Toner. It keeps saying that its low or out but it isn’t. I open the front, take out the cartridge, put it back in, and it will work for a while then do the same thing again. It isn’t the cartridge because it’s been replaced multiple times and the same problem occurs. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you for your time.
What is the exact error message &/or code that you are getting?
Have you tried shaking the cartridge to make sure that the toner is evenly distributed?
You may have dirty or damaged cartridge contacts in the printer that aren’t allowing it to read the cartridge properly. You may have a bad wiring harness or bad wiring connections inside the printer, or you could have a bad MCU board.
Really hard to say for sure without more info or actually being able to run some tests on the printer in person.
