Xerox DocuPrint P8 how to use a USB to parallel cable?
I have an HP Pavilion PC Silimline S7500E. It is installed with Windows XP Media Center. To use my old DocuPrint P8, which requires a parallel port connection, I bought a USB / parallel. However, although the PC printer recongnized, nothing comes of it. I installed the driver downloaded from the Xerox site. Previously worked with my other PC (Windows 2000 and Windows XP), provided they have a parallel port. Is someone working with Usb Parallel DocuPrint P8? Or do you really need a PCI card for that? In the Properties dialog box of the printer, I tried clicking the "Ports" list and "Print to the following port (s), choose LPT1. Then click" OK "and tried to print a page test. It shows some errors. Do you mean by 'the capture of USB devices such as LPT1?
Have you tried to capture the USB device such as LPT1: I do not know if it helps, but give it a try.
