Can I put SP3 (service pack three) on a non genuine xp o/s?
I have got a genuine copy of Xp media center edition on one pc and was wondering if I could download SP3 on it and install it on the non-genuine edition of XP, or would it test the PC for genuine
advantage?
SP3 is not released yet. It is still going through release candidates (beta testing). I haven’t run it, but I can imagine that it will test you for it. Microsoft tests for just about everything now except individual security updates, and since sp3 will include non-security updates, it will likely be tested.
