Can a normal usb Laser Printer be connected to a hub/switch directly to make it a Network Printer?
i want to connect my laser printer to a switch/hub directly so that i dont have to keep the keep the pc switched on, on which the printer is connected. please give a cheaper solution.
A cost effective alternative to a network printer is to use a router or switch that has a built-in printer server port.
This allows you to connect any Usb Printer to the router/switch & share it on your network.
Not sure what you mean by cheap, however, this unit may be available in the U.S. for around $60 :
