What photo enlarger format do I need for my 35mm film?
I am building my own darkroom and I want to make sure that the Holga Enlarger Kit for 35mm
( http://www.freestylephoto.biz/sc_prod.php?cat_id=1601&pid=5625 ) is what I need to develop my photos. I have a Canon AE-1 Program camera.

That will get you started, however I’ve dealt with enlargers similar to that one and they are by far not the easiest to use.
There are lots of much, much better used enlargers on the market that you should be able to get for a small fraction of the price. Frankly, buying any new darkroom equipment, especially major pieces like enlargers, is pointless today because there’s so much superb used equipment practically being given away.
For my own darkroom, I have an Omega C700 enlarger. It’s primarily targeted toward the home user, like the one you’ve listed above, however it’s built more along the lines of a professional enlarger. It will easily print up to 11×14, and I’m sure it will do larger, although I’ve never done anything larger than that. It will also take negatives up to 6×7.
I paid $2 for mine at a yardsale with a 50mm f4 El-Nikkor lens. I also picked up some negative carriers and an 80mm Rodenstock lens(for use with medium format film) for a few bucks more from a local camera shop. I regularly see them go for $50 and less, shipping included, on Ebay. Just make sure that the one you buy includes a lens and negative carriers.
