Do I need to empty out my HDD before installing Windows into it?
My Samsung F3 1TB currently is my storage drive, about 100gb filed, but I’m building a new PC and my old 40gb IDE drive with Windows in it is failing. Just wondering if I need to format the 1tb before installing Windows into it. Just don’t have the extra budget for another SATA HDD.
The Windows installer will format the drive for you as part of the process, and yes it WILL have to be formatted.
