Why do we use red and cyan 3D glasses? Why do not other colors?
My sisters need a science fair project recently. Someone have any idea why?

This is usually done because the eyes are separated by about 2 inches, so that the light enters different angles. The brain puts the images back together to get a 3D image. 3. Binoculars mimic this natural phenomenon by different color filters. Changing the wavelength of light entering each eye, so it looks 3D. 4. Cyan and red is used because that is how many movies were filmed. The screen has two frames, placed slightly apart, one red and One Cyan. With the same color filters, a single image from each eye – mimicking the effect of different angle separation from their eyes. So seen in 3D. Ultimately, it seems that these two colors were used for the convention. However, the guy above is correct: red and cyan are separated in the longer the visible light spectrum can be achieved. This makes it easier to filter out the colors in a discriminatory fashion.
