How I can fix my HP 1350? I've tried everything and read the manual. HELP?
I have an orange light flashing, indicating cartridge box ink. I installed the software, just bought new ink, he went to cartridge world who said the ink was nice and clean the printer. I restarted the comp and read many times the troubleshooting section in the manual. When I press the print button, it tells me that the document is printed but nothing comes out. I can not even print a page test. Called HP to talk to technical support and was told it would cost $ $ $ to talk to someone. Can anyone help please? The printer worked great well last week Should I uninstall everything (HP Director) and reinstall? Are my photos are good?
1. Check to ensure that you get the cartridge fully inserted into the right place. Be careful not to push too hard, but not to be soft. 2. Take a Q-tip (or cotton, if any) and wet with alcohol. Rub anything in the cartridge or the cartridge slot that looks like metal. looks exactly like the color of gold (copper to be precise) and make sure there is no built crap on it. Make sure no lint is left behind. If this does not, I think I might have a bad switch that tells the printer the cartridge is completely inserted. I would not recommend playing around this area unless you have a degree of skill with electronics. If still under warranty, you can return to where you are. Assuming no longer under warranty, you might consider just replacing it. Printers these days are relatively inexpensive. manufacturers printers make their money on the cartridges and toner. In some cases, you can get a printer for almost free after rebates and other promotions.
