Dell Inkjet Printer 720 does not recognize the Black Cartridge?
Yes, so I recently got two Ink Cartridges refill at Walgreens and put in the printer. The Color Cartridge works well but goes on to say that the black cartridge is not in the printer and when I try to print something that is black, which is blank. Help, please. The first person to give a decent answer gets ten points.
There's really only one way I can think to say whether the cartridge and, unfortunately, it is to buy a new cartridge and try it. If it works, take the complete return to Walgreens for a refund on the charge. Another idea is to see if there is ink on the electrical contacts (not the holes that the ink comes out) in the cartridge can be in the Printer Cartridge. Just wipe with a dry, lint-free cloth. Also, if the Ink Cartridge ran into black, some printers will not let you not install the same cartridge in the printer. The printer stores the serial number of the cartridge and is looking for a new number. This is manufacturer's scheme to help you buy a new cartridge instead of refilling.
